The Urban Facade Restoration and Revitalization Plan for the Vicinity of Saat Square
At the beginning of the 14th century AH, the construction of wide and straight streets for car traffic, which was a symbol of progress and was accepted and liked by the people, entered the urban planning of Iran from the first Pahlavi period. In this regard, between 1300 and 1305, the first street of Tabriz was built by order of Abdullah Khan Tahmasbi, the commander of the Azerbaijan army, which is known today as Imam Khomeini Street. After that, in 1308, in order to expand the aforementioned street and with the construction of Tarbiat Street, North Army Street was also widened, and as a result, Rahli Bazaar and Kore Nai Khane were separated from each other.
With the change in urban concepts and literature, we witness a new form of urban spaces called streets, bazaars, and parks. The Bazaar is moving from an introverted state to outside the walls and is exposed to the public. Therefore, two-story buildings, the first floor of which is dedicated to commerce and the second floor for rest (home) or business, are constructed in the from of Qajar architectural style in the body of the streets.
The project of the northern wall of Imam Khomeini Street is designed with the aim of revitalizing and improving this wall, taking into account existing patterns, preserving and continuing the original structure.
